Onboard the Vandutch 48
The Vandutch 48 reads low and wide on the water, its flat sheer line and open cockpit giving the deck a sense of space that belies its 15-metre length. There's no upper flybridge to climb, no bulk to the profile — just one continuous deck for sunbathing, dining and moving around freely, which suits guests who want to spend the day close to the water rather than looking down on it from a bridge deck.
For a day out from Menorca, the boat's low freeboard makes it easy to step straight off the swim platform into a cove without ladders or fuss — useful for a stop at one of the quieter bays along the coast where the water stays flat and there's room to anchor without crowding. Groups of up to 12 can spread across the bow cushions and cockpit seating for lunch, then regroup for a slower run back into harbour once the afternoon boat traffic starts to thin.
Below deck, two cabins give the Vandutch 48 a practical edge over a pure day boat: a couple can use it for an overnight stop as easily as a group of friends uses it for a single long day on the water. It works equally well as a half-day introduction to Menorca's coastline for first-time charter guests or as the smaller, sportier option alongside a larger yacht for a family or corporate group splitting across two boats.
